Lieutenant Commander R.A.N., maritime historian and marine artist. Ingleton served in the Royal Australian Navy between 1922 and 1936. During that time he was assigned to the hydrographic service and served on H.M.A.S. Moresby, surveying waters to the north of Australia. In civilian life Ingleton worked as a draftsman and artist.
